Hummus was up until recently a complete secret to me. I had no idea what it was made of 😀 Never though to ask ahahah. But I finally sat down to figure it out, and wow! This is great stuff! Its a jewel from the middle east, made from chikpeas and sesame seed paste. It has loads of proteins, Magnesium, Kalium and Iron. Great supplement for athletes 😀 You dont need to much and its super fast to make. Check the recipe below.
200 g boiled chickpeas without the shell
1 table spoon of Tahini (sesame seed paste)
1 table spoon lemon juice
1/2 tea spoon if your fav spice (cam be cummin, chili, what ever)
5 table spoons of water or milk or yoghurt
smash all this in the blender. And if you want fancy colors; try to add either a piece of beet root or a handfull of spinach leefs and reblend. Its perfect for dips, as a side dish, or even on your sandwich 😀
