Horse art

Posted by in Equitation

I mean it quite literally; Horses as a motif in art is something I’ve gotten a little hooked on since I started riding again a few years ago. So although I do not have my own horse, at least I have some horses on the wall at home :)

In short; I’ve been crazy about horses since I was a little girl, and finally I began to ride again about 2 years ago here in Portugal. I have found the best, craziest, toughest, funniest, most inspiring coach, mentor and artist: Serjant Luis Matos. He has 2 fantastic Lusitano stallions that I am so fortunate to ride; Ulisses and Xibanga. Furthermore, he trains a whole bunch of horses and riders for the military school here, and has almost 20 years experience with horses.

He also paints amazing art, so if someone wants a horse on the wall, contact me! Luis is crazy good at painting horses, just check out what I have on the wall. I have a total of 5 paintings of Matos on the wall. Heres three of them. So my living room is actually like a mini Matos art gallery 😀 Here are some other paintings from Matos:
